Rotary Supports KIPP Charlotte
Rotary new logoKIPP Charlotte is very proud to announce that the Top of the Week Rotary Club of Charlotte and The Rotary Club District 7680 have granted funds to support the school's 'Reading Buddies' program through the District Simplified Grants Program (DSG).

DSG funds are to be used to support  charitable, educational, and humanitarian projects that benefit local communities within District 7680.  The Top of the Week Rotary Club of Charlotte will match the grant funds both financially and with volunteer hours.

We are so grateful to The Rotary Club for their support and belief in the mission and vision of KIPP Charlotte and all the organizations they support throughout Mecklenburg County.
KIPP Charlotte Welcomes North Carolina  Dance Theatre
KIPP Charlotte is benefiting from a successful ArtsTeach Curriculum Connections grant application and partnering with North Carolina Dance Theatre to bring their stellar six-week residency program to the school.

NC Dance instructors will work with KIPP Charlotte students and faculty to enhance the KIPP curriculum by using dance to reinforce a number of academic concepts.

The residency culminates in a student performance and a visit to the Belk Theatre to watch a performance of The Nutcracker. The North Carolina Dance Theatre's mission is to provide artistically excellent programming to diverse audiences in its home city of Charlotte, the Southeast region, and to the varied communities it serves while on tour across the nation. NC Dance Theatre has received critical recognition nationally for excellence in programming, education and outreach, and dance training.

KIPP Charlotte is THRILLED to be partnering with such a great organization.
