Is summer school mandatory?
Yes, to be enrolled for the school year all students must attend summer school or they will lose their spot.

When can students purchase extra uniform shirts?
Before or after school and during school hours. Please see Resa Wall [(980) 297-1691] for order forms, to submit payments and to pick up orders.

Will there be uniforms? What is the uniform?
The KIPP Charlotte uniform consists of a KIPP Charlotte short sleeved polo or short sleeved t-shirt, khaki or navy blue slacks or shorts, and dark shoes ( brown, black, navy blue). Girls may also wear skirts or capris. Skirts and shorts must be knee length.

What are school hours?
Mon- Thurs 7:30am-5:00pm
Fri 7:30am-3:15pm
Sat 9:00am-12:30pm

What classes will they take?
From Mon- Fri they will participate in: Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science.

Are Saturday schools mandatory?
Yes, Saturday schools will be scheduled twice a month, they are part of the school year and count for their yearly attendance.

What if I can’t pick my child up at 5pm?
Students may stay after school with teachers to get help with homework.

How early can I drop my child off in the morning?
Students may be dropped off in the morning as early as 6:30.

What meals during the day does the school provide?
Breakfast and lunch are available to all students however if you do not qualify for free or reduced lunch there is a fee. Afternoon snack is available free of charge.

What school supplies does my child need?
All students need to come on the first day with 2 pencils and a book bag, the rest will be provided by the school.

What time is pick up for summer school?
Summer school hours are from 7:30am-2:00pm.

How to get involved in the school?
