Achievements

• 83% of students scored at or above grade level on the 6th grade Math End of Grade Test. Entering KIPP Charlotte only 49% of 6th grade students passed the End of Grade Math test.

• 79% of KIPP Charlotte 6th grade students scored at or above grade level on the reading EOG. Entering KIPP Charlotte only 20% of the 6th graders were reading on grade level.

• Student attendance was at 97% last year.

• KIPP Charlotte met AYP in 2008-2009.

• KIPP Charlotte’s Special Education population made two years of growth in Math and Reading in 2008-2009.

• KIPP Charlotte’s 5th graders grew over 8 points on the EOG test, doubling the state average.

• KIPP Charlotte students have made significant academic gains (1.5 years of growth) two years in a row.

• Over 95% of parents surveyed said they would recommend KIPP Charlotte to a friend.
